As Artificial Intelligence (AI) can now automatically write, generate source code, and design basic communication products in just a few seconds, the big question arises: What remains of humanity? The answer lies in the ability to empathize, deep critical thinking, and unique cultural identity – invaluable values that constitute the "Human" aspect that no algorithm can replicate. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at PXU was established with the mission to preserve and promote these core values, serving as a strong spiritual anchor amidst the wave of technology.
Through diverse fields of study such as Literature, History, Languages (English, Chinese), Design, and Communication, the faculty does not merely teach about beauty, art, or the accumulated knowledge of humanity over centuries. It is also a space for free creative expression, where students can position and affirm their personal identity in an increasingly homogenized digital society. Here, learners are trained in exceptional skills:
Storytelling: Learning how to construct and convey stories that touch the depths of emotions, resonate with hearts, and build trust – something that AI can only mimic in terms of structural wording but cannot achieve inner resonance.
Indigenous Thinking in Design: Combining modern aesthetic trends with the depth of traditional culture, creating artistic products that bear the mark of heritage and possess their own soul.
Using Foreign Languages to Connect Globally: Liberating linguistic thinking to understand cultures, transcending national boundaries, and establishing sustainable diplomatic and humanitarian relationships.
The combination of humanistic knowledge and practical skills serves as a shield protecting students against the wave of automation. As machines take on repetitive tasks, graduates from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities are the ones who orient, infuse spirit, and lead society with empathy and independent thinking – supreme capabilities that ensure they will never be replaced.
