Design

The explosion of the creative economy and digital technology has made Design one of the most powerful and attractive professions today. Recognizing this trend, Phu Xuan University (PXU) offers a Bachelor's program in Design (part of the Arts and Humanities field) with a distinctive training philosophy: not only teaching students how to use tools but also nurturing designers with a humanistic mindset, who know how to use aesthetics and technology to solve real-life problems.

1. Training Philosophy: Human-Centered Design

At PXU, Design is not merely about creating beautiful and eye-catching images superficially. Situated within the ecosystem of Humanities, the program directs students towards the philosophy of "Human-Centered Design".

Students learn to understand user behavior psychology, study cultural and social contexts so that each creative product — whether it is a logo, an application interface, or an interior space — carries a profound message, high functionality, and resonates with human emotions. This is the core value that helps future designers of PXU not to be replaced by AI tools that create artistic images.

2. Modern Curriculum, Ahead of the Technology Wave

The Bachelor's program in Design at PXU is designed according to a flexible training model, continuously updated to global trends, focusing on key specialized branches:

  • Graphic Design & Visual Communication: Focused on brand identity, packaging design, illustration, artistic photography, and digital publishing.

  • UI/UX Design: Leading the digital era with skills to optimize interfaces for websites, mobile applications, technology ecosystems, and video games.

  • Interior Design & Green Living Spaces: Aiming to create sustainable, environmentally friendly living and working spaces, and art exhibition spaces that are rich in humanistic qualities.

With the motto "Learning by doing", PXU students practice 100% on professional software, work in modern studio rooms, and continuously carry out real projects (Project-based learning) in collaboration with businesses starting from their second year.

3. Wide and Flexible Career Opportunities

The versatility in humanistic thinking and technological skills enables Design graduates from PXU to easily enter the global job market with many attractive positions:

  • At Agencies & Corporations: Art Director, Graphic Designer, UI/UX Designer, Commercial Space Designer.

  • In the Entertainment Industry: Set Designer, Illustrator, Character Designer, and Game Interface Designer.

  • Entrepreneurship and Freelancing: Establishing personal creative studios, taking on global design projects through digital platforms.

4. A Free Creative Environment at PXU

Studying Design at PXU means learning in an open space where every "crazy" idea is encouraged and respected. The faculty at PXU are not only highly qualified educators but also architects, visual artists, and creative professionals actively working in major agencies, bringing practical insights and contemporary perspectives into every class.

The Design program at Phu Xuan University is the ideal cradle for young people passionate about beauty, who want to use artistic thinking and humanistic science to reshape the visual world around us.
