Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc presents the decision approving the establishment of the Phu Xuan University Branch in Hai Phong - Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Bac Song Cam Education Complex and the launch of EQuest Education Group in Hai Phong City

On the morning of March 12, the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Bac Song Cam Education Complex and the launch of EQuest Education Group took place in the Bac Song Cam New Urban Area in Hai Phong City.

Attending the program were comrades: Le Tien Chau, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Don Tuan Phong, Deputy Head of the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly; Vu Tien Phung, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; along with several leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee; leaders of city departments, branches, and related units.

EQuest Education Group, established in 2003, is one of the most prestigious and largest private educational organizations in Vietnam, owning a training ecosystem spanning three fields: General Education (K-12), Higher Education and Colleges (C&U), and Educational Technology (EdTech). To date, EQuest operates 25 educational institutions nationwide, serving nearly 20,000 K-12 students, 10,000 college and university students, and over 180,000 students enrolled in STEM programs and educational technology foundations developed by EQuest. EQuest is also the first private educational organization to receive accreditation from Cognia, the largest educational accreditation organization in the United States.

After two years of operation in Hai Phong City, EQuest Education Group has developed three high-quality K-12 educational institutions with over 1,000 students enrolled, including: Hanoi Star Inter-level School - Hai Phong campus, Newton Hai Duong Inter-level School, and Alpha Hai Phong Inter-level School.

At the Bac Song Cam New Urban Area, EQuest will build a modern educational ecosystem, connecting general education, higher education, and the development needs of Hai Phong City. The complex is located in the new central development area of the city, adjacent to key projects, creating connectivity advantages in the modern urban development space. With a total area of 71,559 m², the project is planned according to the educational complex model, including a university block and inter-level schools, with a training scale of 20,000 students.

The entire campus is planned according to modern educational facility standards, integrating open learning spaces, laboratories, research areas, and technological infrastructure to support digital education. The complex model allows for seamless connections between educational levels, creating a continuous learning environment within the same educational ecosystem. About 40% of the campus area is dedicated to greenery, outdoor spaces, and sports areas, aiming to build a green school model, where learning occurs not only in classrooms but also connected to students' experiences and living environments.

The university block is oriented towards international development, focusing on key training areas of the digital age such as artificial intelligence (AI), STEM, automotive engineering technology, healthcare technology, logistics, data science, and business administration. Among them, the Phu Xuan University Branch in Hai Phong will be the central training unit. The collaboration program with Keiser University, the largest non-profit private university in Florida, USA, will create opportunities for Vietnamese students to receive original degrees from the USA and attract international students to study in Hai Phong. At the same time, the K-12 block includes a system of inter-level schools, implementing accredited bilingual and international programs, focusing on developing academic capacity, skills, and integration thinking for students.

When operational, the Bac Song Cam Education Complex is expected to become a large-scale training facility in Hai Phong, contributing to improving the quality of human resources, while also contributing to the development of the Bac Song Cam urban area and attracting intellectuals, experts, and residents to live and work.

Speaking at the event, Vu Tien Phung, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, stated that the Bac Song Cam Education Complex is a suitable step, contributing to diversifying the education system of the city, expanding learning opportunities in an advanced educational environment for students in Hai Phong and neighboring localities.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee believes that with the determination of EQuest Education Group, along with the cooperation of agencies, units, and the support of the business community, the Bac Song Cam Education Complex will be implemented on schedule, ensuring quality and soon become operational, thereby contributing to the development of a high-quality education system, training human resources to meet the development requirements of Hai Phong City.
