In the digital environment, alongside the conveniences for learning and communication, students may also face various risks of fraud, threats, and psychological manipulation in cyberspace. Therefore, equipping them with legal knowledge, risk identification skills, and situational handling is an important part of enhancing their self-protection capabilities.

With that goal in mind, Phu Xuan University (PXU) organizes the program “Student Exchange and Awareness Campaign on Solutions to Prevent Online Kidnapping Behaviors Among Students”, contributing to raising awareness and skills to prevent violations in cyberspace.

Awareness Campaign on Identifying Online Kidnapping Tactics

The program features participation from representatives of the Cybersecurity Department and the High-Tech Crime Prevention Department – Hue City Police; representatives from the Youth Union – Student Association of the University of Law, Hue University; along with the Future Lawyers Club.

During the program, students are informed about the methods and tactics commonly used in online kidnapping cases, the risks, and potential consequences. The discussion content also helps learners understand relevant legal regulations, identify suspicious signs, and enhance vigilance in situations that may involve fraud, threats, or remote control.

Through practical knowledge, students gain a basis for evaluating information, being cautious of unusual requests, and proactively seeking support when they feel at risk of danger.

Learning Prevention Skills Through Skits and Minigames

In addition to the discussions, the program also employs short skits and minigames to convey knowledge in a visual and engaging manner. The scenarios presented help students easily visualize the risks they may encounter while also training their analytical skills and ability to choose appropriate responses.

The combination of knowledge dissemination, situational discussions, and interactive activities helps students remember the necessary preventive measures. Through this, learners are encouraged to enhance their vigilance, refrain from hastily complying with unusual requests, and seek assistance from authorities or trusted individuals when needed.

Building a Safe Learning Environment at PXU

At Phu Xuan University, supporting students goes beyond just academic knowledge; it also aims to develop essential skills for learning and life. Awareness campaigns and skill education activities contribute to helping students enhance their awareness, proactively handle arising situations, and take more responsibility for their own safety.

The program to prevent online kidnapping is a practical activity that helps spread knowledge about safety in cyberspace within the student community. Through this, PXU continues to strive towards building a safe learning environment where students are equipped with both professional knowledge and life skills to confidently develop.
