OJT Semester - The "Specialty" of Phu Xuan University

At Phu Xuan University – Hue, students participate in practical internship programs at businesses. This semester is called OJT – one of the specialties that only Phu Xuan University offers. It aims to enhance skills, knowledge, and expand job opportunities.

With a 70% practical duration, Phu Xuan students complete both skills and practical knowledge. In this regard, OJT is considered the most important semester in the program.

At Phu Xuan University, the OJT semester takes place starting from the third year instead of the fourth or fifth year like most other universities. This is an opportunity for students to discover their desired jobs early and explore their strengths.

Real Work, Real Earnings

Not only do students experience the working environment, but they also enjoy accompanying benefits during the OJT semester.

For the Chinese Language K15 students, they experienced OJT at Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Company. Students are provided with free accommodation and receive a stipend of 3-5 million VND/month. Just stepping out of school and into the working environment, they may still feel a bit lost. However, with such support and benefits, students quickly adapt and enjoy their new jobs.

For the K16 Chinese Language students, they have recently been accepted for internships at MYS GROUP Co., Ltd. and Zeng Hsinh Industrial Co., Ltd. from Taiwan. Students receive a salary of 8-10 million VND/month along with free accommodation at the company.

This is the continuous effort of the University and businesses. It can be said that very few universities achieve such successful business collaborations.

Dr. Ho Thi Hanh Tien, the school's principal, emphasized that in 2021, Phu Xuan University will continue to strengthen cooperation with domestic and international businesses to provide internship and job opportunities for students.
