A NEW FACE - A NEW ASPIRATION - ANNOUNCING THE BRAND IDENTITY SYSTEM AND MASCOT OF PHU XUAN UNIVERSITY (PXU)
Phu Xuan University (PXU) is pleased to announce the new Academic Identity System and representative mascot
In the continuous flow of knowledge and the era, every change marks a step towards maturity. Today, Phu Xuan University (PXU) is proud to announce an important milestone: Officially changing the brand identity logo and launching the representative mascot – a symbol of the spirit and aspirations of the new PXU generation.
This is not merely a change in image, but a powerful declaration of a new mindset: A university that respects classical values, has a profound cultural identity, yet operates with the mindset of a modern international university.

1. From the Philosophy of Naming to International Identity

The new identity system originates from the search for the roots of the meaning of the name “Phu Xuan”. We believe that education is a journey of cause and effect. The word “Xuan” not only signifies the season of beginnings but also symbolizes the process of planting and nurturing the foundation of knowledge (Knowledge Planted). The word “Phu” represents the destination, the sustainable prosperity and achievements that learners reap (Prosperity Grown).

This philosophy has been concretized through the new brand identity: PXU

The choice of the abbreviation PXU along with the primary color Crimson Red is a strategic decision. While PXU positions the university within the mainstream of top universities worldwide to be ready for global digital data systems; the Crimson Red color proudly anchors the identity. It represents both the color of academic authority in the West (Academic Authority) and evokes the deep red of the imperial city and Hue culture.

2. Emblem of Authenticity and Academic Depth

Alongside the modern PXU logo, the university proudly introduces the Academic Seal – the highest symbol reserved for institutional documents and diplomas.

The PXU Seal depicts an image of a tree with roots, affirming that knowledge must have a foundational base; surrounded by a laurel wreath of glory and the Latin inscription: “Scientia Plantata – Prosperitas Crescens” (Knowledge Planted – Prosperity Grown). The presence of the seal along with the founding year MMIII (2003) is a strong commitment to the historical significance, heritage, and standard quality of education that the university pursues.

3. PIXU Dragon – The Companion of the New Generation

If the academic identity system embodies the dignity of a teacher, then the appearance of the PIXU Dragon Mascot of Phu Xuan University (PXU) brings a fresh energy of a companion.

Unlike distant mythical figures, the PXU Dragon represents the modern student generation: Youthful, dynamic in a varsity outfit, and always ready to lead. With a bright smile and a strong stance holding the flag, the PXU Dragon symbolizes connection, bridging gaps in the school environment, and igniting the pride and spirit of “daring to venture” of the youth of Phu Xuan.

The resonance between formal academic rigor and youthful, modern spirit is the portrait of Phu Xuan University on its new journey.
