Beginning this journey is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Thanh Tu – Director of the Institute of Emerging Technology (IMT), Phu Xuan University.

This is how Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Thanh Tu views a modern university environment – a place where students not only acquire knowledge but also experience, experiment, and discover themselves.

Over 20 Years of Research and International Academic Background

With over 20 years of research in the fields of Chemistry, Nano Technology, and new materials, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Thanh Tu has studied at Vietnam National University, Hanoi and University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign (USA).

Along with his international academic background, he brings to PXU experience in training, research, and international collaboration, contributing to building an educational environment that connects knowledge, technology, and practice.

According to him, an effective university environment needs to create conditions for learners to connect and maximize their potential:

“We strive to create an optimal environment for students to interact, connect with each other, unleash their energy, and encourage the creativity of each individual.”

This mindset is also reflected in the development orientation of the Institute of Emerging Technology (IMT) and the journey of PXU 2.0.

In a continuously changing world, what Assoc. Prof. Dr. Truong Thanh Tu hopes students will carry with them after their university years is not just a diploma, but also the ability to learn for life:
